Welcome to Keepsake Stables, a small Morgan horse breeding farm owned and operated by Kel and Debi Donoho. Keepsake Stables breeds quality A.M.H.A. registered Morgan horses, including Jubilee Futurity Champion Benediction! Ben is our first Keepsake bred Morgan colt and we have retained him as our foundation breeding sire. For information about our wonderful stallion, visit Benediction's page. Ben has sired six foals to date and we couldn't be more pleased. With several breedings planned for the 2011, we anxiously await our 2012 arrivals! Check Our Foals page for photos and more information!

For Debi, a lifetime of involvement with other breeds of horses has given way to a passion for the Morgan horse, America's first and greatest breed. If you are already owned by a Morgan horse, then you understand! If you are new to Morgan horses, visit the American Morgan Horse Association's (A..M.H.A.'s) web site and other Morgan horse links on this page to learn about Justin Morgan's horse, Figure, and the unique breed that has descended from this one magnificent stallion! The more familiar you become with this wonderful breed, the more your understanding of Morgan horse passion and addiction will increase!

Whether you are looking for a family trail horse or your next World Champion, we may have just the horse for you! If not, we can surely put you in touch with one of the many local breeders who live along what we like to call "Morgan Alley," a stretch of Missouri State Highway 47 populated with Morgan breeding and training stables.  We are very fortunate to live in an area with many prominent Morgan horse farms, including Edgewood Morgans, Equilink, Inc., Heaven Sent Stables, Silver Maple Stables, & Orrwood Morgans. Our good friends at Windenhill have relocated to sunny Florida, but we do keep in touch. Conveniently located in east-central Missouri, we have easy access to several major interstates and are only an hour west of St. Louis, Missouri.  We are 3 miles off of Interstate 44, so stop in for a visit on your way to or from Oklahoma!

In addition to breeding registered Morgan horses, Keepsake Stables is home to "Keepsake Kids," offering riding lessons and "Keepsake Kids' Kamp!" We even have a saddle club for our lesson students. To see what our young riders have been up to this summer, visit Keepsake Kids!

Caitlin, our youngest daughter, is one horse crazy little girl! Our three granddaughters , Kelsey, Madison, and Haley are equally horse crazy, so we have lots of photos to share at Cait's Corner! We believe every child needs a pony, so our little cowgals ride Keepsake Ponies! To create mid-sized ponies, we bred our Shetland pony mare, Graham Crackers, with Morgan World Champion Thunderbay! We LOVE our Morgan-Shetland babies and have repeated this cross twice! Both resulting fillies are high-steppin' ponies with obvious Morgan characteristics, most notably that up-headed Morgan charisma! Our little girls love these ponies and the ponies love them right back! We have lots of ponies to share, so why not contact us to schedule a Pony Party or an Old Tyme Pony Cart Ride event for YOUR special little cowboy or cowgirl
